Wood County Sheriff’s Report November 1-7, 2017

November 1st

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154/FM 182 near Quitman, at approximately 12:39 a.m., in reference to a fire. Quitman Fire Department arrived and extinguished the fire.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Bermuda St. in Quitman; at approximately 10:55 a.m. Rodrigo Deloera, 54, of Arlington, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on PR 6429 near Mineola; at approximately 1:35 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4930 near Winnsboro, at approximately 1:55 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies arrived and it appeared the doors were not secure, but there were no signs of forced entry or burglary activity.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 2225 near Quitman; at approximately 2:13 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the scene.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1970 near Yantis, at approximately 2:47 p.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s residence. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies went out on arrest/warrant service to CR 2724 near Mineola; at approximately 3:26 p.m. Justin Kennedy-Hillard, 29, of Mineola, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 14 near Hawkins, at approximately 6:39 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

At 7:59 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 4255 near Winnsboro.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle at Lake Hawkins; at approximately 8:01 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4560 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:25 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the suspicious activity and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154/FM 2225 near Quitman, at approximately 9:01 p.m., in reference to a traffic hazard. Upon the deputies’ arrival, the owner of the vehicle was moving it out of the roadway.

November 2nd

Deputies responded to a reckless driver on HWY 37 near Quitman; at approximately 7:23 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle at Lake Holbrook; at approximately 8:09 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4497 near Winnsboro, at approximately 9:36 a.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, stole multiple firearms from the reporting party’s residence. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 14 near Hawkins, at approximately 10:56 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 11:18 a.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 1:29 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief on FM 2088 near Winnsboro. Actors, or actors unknown, damaged the reporting party’s mailbox.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2175 near Quitman, at approximately 3:51 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated and the scene was cleared.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 69 near Mineola, at approximately 4:47 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. The vehicle left the area, prior to deputies’ arrival.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola, at approximately 6:07 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4583 near Winnsboro, at approximately 6:44 p.m., in reference to an inquest. A male, 66, was found deceased in his residence. The Justice of the Peace arrived and no autopsy was ordered.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Mineola, at approximately 6:46 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies issued Criminal Trespass Warnings and the scene was cleared.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4596 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:00 p.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. Terri Cole, 43, of Winnsboro, was arrested for Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Violence.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2088 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:36 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to Lloyd St. in Yantis, at approximately 11:02 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 1799 near Alba, at approximately 11:34 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

November 3rd

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4896 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:13 a.m., in reference to criminal trespass. The actors left the scene, prior to deputies’ arrival.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1985 near Yantis, at approximately 8:24 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated and the scene was cleared.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2140 near Quitman, at approximately 8:42 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individuals and everything was OK.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 2177 near Quitman; at approximately 12:36 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies went out on arrest/warrant service to CR 4730 near Winnsboro; at approximately 1:53 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1917 near Yantis, at approximately 2:39 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 779 near Alba, at approximately 3:15 p.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s residence. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2460 near Mineola, at approximately 5:31 p.m., in reference to a theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole a gate from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 2088 near Quitman; at approximately 5:45 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 4864 near Winnsboro; at approximately 7:25 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2171 near Quitman, at approximately 7:34 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

November 4th

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:37 a.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Actors, or actors unknown, punctured 3 of the reporting party’s tires. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2290 near Mineola, at approximately 11:02 a.m., in reference to a theft. Deputies cleared the scene, upon arrival, due to it being a property dispute.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:13 p.m., in reference to a theft that occurred on HWY 69 near Alba. A known actor was in possession of the reporting party’s property and refused to return it. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

At 2:43 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1801 near Yantis.

At 3:05 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2659 near Hawkins.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1941 near Yantis, at approximately 4:56 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies located the activity and advised the individuals to lower the volume of the music.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1660 near Alba, at approximately 5:31 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2660 near Mineola, at approximately 7:15 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Rodrick Martin, 38, of Mineola, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Deputies went out on arrest/warrant service to CR 1326 near Quitman, at approximately 9:26 p.m. Jerry Boone, 65, of Quitman, was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1941 near Yantis, at approximately 10:37 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies located the activity and advised the individuals to lower the volume of the music.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 11:33 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

November 5th

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3120 near Quitman, at approximately 1:21 a.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 69 near Como, at approximately 1:47 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Natalie Blair, 18, of Winnsboro, was arrested for Public Intoxication.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1885 near Yantis, at approximately 2:13 a.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. Deputies cleared the scene and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Yantis, at approximately 2:24 a.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2389 near Yantis, at approximately 8:49 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

At 3:06 p.m., horses were reported out on FM 14/FM 2088 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3496 near Hawkins, at approximately 5:02 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies located the activity and advised the individuals to lower the volume of the music.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2230 near Mineola, at approximately 5:04 p.m., in reference to theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole fishing equipment from the reporting party’s property.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 779 near Alba, at approximately 10:27 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies located the activity and advised the individuals to lower the volume of the music.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3859 near Hawkins, at approximately 11:48 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

November 6th

Deputies were dispatched to Church St. in Yantis, at approximately 5:22 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the suspicious activity and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2245 near Mineola, at approximately 10:55 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3419 near Hawkins, at approximately 1:24 p.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the scene.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2650 near Mineola, at approximately 1:43 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1971 near Yantis, at approximately 1:47 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies located the actor and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to Osborn St. near Alba, at approximately 2:08 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to Main St. in Yantis, at approximately 5:57 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for the night.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Mineola, at approximately 6:59 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2221 near Mineola, at approximately 10:00 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies located the actor on CR 2336 near Mineola. James Hunter Childress, 19, of Mineola, was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on CR 4420 near Winnsboro, at approximately 11:00 p.m. Stormie Vance, 33, or Winnsboro, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Tamper Fabricate Physical Evidence with Intent to Impair. Jason Williams, 30, of Irving, was arrested for Driving While License Invalid.

November 7th

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2920 near Alba, at approximately 6:46 a.m., in reference to an inquest. A male 39, was found deceased on his property. The Justice of the Peace arrived and ordered an autopsy. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2752 near Mineola, at approximately 11:23 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 7049 near Hawkins, at approximately 11:40 a.m., in reference to a terroristic threat. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 8585 near Winnsboro, at approximately 1:42 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

At 6:03 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 4255/CR 4260 near Winnsboro.

Between the dates of November 1st and November 7th, Wood County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to multiple agency assists that included the following: Police Departments, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Departments, Hopkins County, Dallas County, and Department of Public Safety.

Total Jail Count – 155 inmates – 128 males and 27 females.
