Funeral service for Charles Walter Allen, age 74, of Point, will be held Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017, 2:00 pm, at the Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Gary Lankford will officiate. The men bearing the casket on service day will be: Lee Allen, Christopher Hussey, Bennett Hussey, Dalton Sears, Robert Dale Thompson, and, Don Mark Connelly.Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, at 1:00 pm. Mr. Allen passed away at his residence on Sunday morning.
He was born in Dallas, Jan. 6, 1943, to Walter August and Willie Mae Richardson Allen. During his working career, he was a fire sprinkler engineer. Charles married Anna Faye Rivers in Wylie on June 23, 1962.

Great-grandchildren: Jon Tyler Thompson, Juliet Thompson, Hayden Sears, and, Bennett Hussey
Great-great-grandson: Dustin Lee Thompson
