Emma Bass

Graveside service for Emma Bass, age 87, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, September 25, 2017 at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Sulphur Springs, TX. There will be no formal visitation. Mrs. Bass, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017, at Sunny Springs Nursing and Rehab.

Emma Bass was born on February 18, 1930 in Clarksville, Texas, the son of Charlie Rose and Bertha Mae Rose. She was widowed three times, first, by William Horton, second, by Bob Toye, and lastly, by Merle Bass. She was an inspector for H.D. Lee Company and was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Bass is survived by: son, Billy Glenn Horton of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Jason Horton, Billy Horton, Jr., Tony Horton, and Shawn Upchurch; seven great grandchildren; and niece, Beatrice Burkett.

She is preceded in death by: son, Larry Horton; sister, Pearl Rose; and brothers, Sam Rose and John Rose.
