Walter Glenn “Tucker” Mattison

Funeral services for Walter Glenn “Tucker” Mattison, age 84, of Como, will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Como Methodist Church in Como, TX with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Mr. Mattison passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017, at Carriage House Manor, Sulphur Springs.

Tucker was born on April 7, 1933 in Como, Texas to Bud and Virgie (White) Mattison.  He married Clara Martin on August 23, 1952 in Dallas, Texas.  He was a member of Como Methodist Church, Como Domino Group and a retired Dairy Farmer.

He is survived by his daughters, Debbie Bryan and husband, Carl of Nelta, Chandra Anderson and husband, Clint of Edmond, OK; sons, Glenn Mattison and wife, Leeta and Gene Mattison and wife, Tammie, all of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Brandon Bain and wife, Karmon, Maci Newsom and husband, Jonathan, Matthew Mattison and wife, Jamie, Maggi DeVoto and husband, Tony, Laura Lane Morrison and husband, Steve, Caleb Anderson, Rachel Cowley and husband, Jarred, Hannah Mattison and Tori Mattison; great grandchildren, Jack Bain, Noah Newsom, Anna-Claire Newson, Sophie DeVoto, Stella DeVoto, Sarah DeVoto, Ayden Morrison, Sawyer Morrison and Sophia Morrison.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Carriage House and Cottages.

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
