Abron Selected to Play in All-American All-Star Softball Game on ESPN3 Wednesday

Lady Cats’ softball player Alyssa Abron has been selected to play in the All-American All-Star Softball Game Wednesday night in Westminster, Colorado near Denver. Abron, a three year letterman with the Lady Cats’ softball team and a Seton Hall commit, was chosen to play in the all-star game along with another player, a pitcher committed to Lamar, from their select team, Vision Gold. The All-American All-Star Softball Game will be televised Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. (CDT) on ESPN3.

Abron and her Vision Gold teammates are currently playing in what is said to be the biggest softball tournament in the nation at Aurora, Colorado. Abron’s father, Wildcats Defensive Coordinator Triston Abron, says the tournament draws hundreds of teams. Alyssa’s Vision Gold team is in the power pool featuring the top 32 teams in the nation. Coach Abron said Seton Hall saw Alyssa in this same tournament two years ago and began recruiting her.

Alyssa will also be playing in a Texas Girls Coaches Association All-Star Softball Game later this summer. Lady Cats Coach David Carrillo will be an assistant coach at that game.
