Three North Hopkins pitchers combined to shut out Wolfe City, 1-0 in a playoff warm up game at North Hopkins Monday afternoon. T
he Panthers Colby Cameron started and got the win throwing four innings allowing only one hit while striking out three and walking one. Chase Williams threw one inning allowing no hits and walking one. Wyatt Wharton got a save pitching the final two innings allowing only one hit with four strikeouts and one walk.
Both teams managed only two hits apiece. Wolfe City had five errors and the Panthers two. North Hopkins scored the games only run in the bottom of the fourth inning. Cooper Adams, who was 1 for 3 scored the run. Brycen Gillespie was also 1 for 3.
The Panthers play Detroit in bi-district action Friday and Saturday. Game one is in Detroit Friday at 4:30 p.m. Game two is at North Hopkins Saturday at 11 a.m. with game three, if necessary, to start 30 minutes after the end of game two.
