Last year a road win at Texas High was credited by Lady Cats Soccer Coach Jesus DeLeon with being a catalyst for the nice playoff run the Lady Cats had later in the season. The Lady Cats won a similar big road win, 1-0 at Texas High Tuesday night.
After both teams failed to score in the first half, the Lady Cats broke through for a goal in the second half. The win avenges a Lady Cats’ 2-1 regulation lose at home to the Lady Tigers back on February 3.
The Lady Cats improved their district record to 6-3. Their season mark is now 11-6-2. The Lady Cats have a bye on Friday. They will play Mt. Pleasant at the SSHS Track Complex next Tuesday night. The Lady Cats won at Mt. Pleasant in dramatic fashion on February 10 scoring in the last 15 seconds of overtime to take a 2-1 win.
