Mary Bea Jackson

Mrs. Mary Bea Jackson, age 92 of Pickton, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017 in Sulphur Springs.
Mary was born in Pickton on August 17, 1924 to the late L.O. and Mary Roberts Stone. During World War II, Mary moved to Dallas to work in a factory and support the war effort, she returned to Pickton to start her family and run a dairy farm with her late husband, she then worked over twenty years at the Brookshire’s Grocery store in Winnsboro. She was a member and former secretary and treasurer for more than fifty years of the First Baptist Church in Pickton. She married Alton Lee Jackson on New Year’s Eve in 1944, he preceded her after 29 years on April 7, 1973; she was also preceded by her parents; four brothers, W.A. Stone, Ray Stone, Buford “Boots” Stone, Harold Stone; and three sisters, Azalee Harrelson, Hazel Wilson, and Betty Faye Stone; great-granddaughter, Shanna Littlefield.
She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Lou Morgan of Pickton, Betty Lee Bowen of Como; grandchildren, Charlotte Baughman and husband Doug, Michael Bowen and wife Amy, Amy Herron and husband Cary; great-grandchildren, Dooley Morgan, Kayla Baughman, Douglas Baughman, Breanna Bowen, Baylee Bowen, Cassidy Herron, Carson Herron, Lacy Horn, Salina Tullos; great-great-grandchildren, Dallyn Morgan, Channing Nation, Jagger Nation, Blake Tullos, Blane Tullos, Hogan Horn, Heston Horn.
The visitation and funeral will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2016 at Beaty Funeral Home of Winnsboro, visitation will begin at 9:30 am until the service begins at 11:00 am; Bro. Tim Sutton officiating; interment will follow at the Old Pickton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pickton Cemetery Association.
