Graveside services for Jose Solis, age 53, of Sulphur Springs, were held Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park. There was no formal visitation.
Mr. Solis passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016 at his residence. He was born April 20, 1963, in Lagunillas, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, the son of Julio and Nicholasa (Hernandez) Solis. He married Antonia Garcia in Sulphur Springs in 1987. Jose was a machine operator at the coal mine. He was also a member of Peerless Baptist Church.
Mr. Solis is survived by his wife; sons, David Solis, Elmer Solis, and Anthony Solis; his father; brothers, Abelino Medina, Severo Solis, Gavino Solis, Paulo Solis, Victor Solis and Julian Solis; and sisters, Rafaela Solis, Teresa Solis and Magdalena Solis.
He is preceded in death by his mother.
