James Daniel Cowden

skmbt_c22416111118130_0001-1Funeral service for James Daniel Cowden, age 67, of Emory, will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Wayne Wolfe and Mark Cowden will officiate.  Burial will follow in Emory City Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Monday evening, 5:00-7:00 pm, at Wilson-Orwosky Chapel.
Daniel was born on Jan. 20, 1949, in Corsicana, to Oddis and Trudy Faye Cantrell Cowden. He worked  as a truck driver and maintenance personnel for a furniture company most of his life.  Daniel married Sharon Lee Cofer in Balch Springs on Jan. 20, 1968. He was a Christian, a child of Yahvah.
Survivors include:
Wife:  Sharon Cowden of Emory
Sons:  James Daniel Cowden, Jr. ( Linda)  of Salem, OR,
Rodney Glenn Cowden (Tori) of Washington, D.C., and, Mark Cowden (Laura) of Sunnyvale
Brother:  Wayne Cowden (Leota) of Balch Springs
Grandchildren:  Shelley Cowden, James Daniel Cowden, III, McKinsey Billings, Madisyn Grace Cowden and Sy Aaron Cowden
Preceded in death by:  Parents; Brother, Ronnie Jo Cowden
Service arrangements are under the direction of Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home.
