Mr. Loyd Everett “Bud” Chaffin, age 87 of Rowlett, passed away on Tuesday, October 25th, 2016 in Dallas. He was born on August 9th, 1929 in Oklahoma City, to the late Edgar Chaffin and Pearl Biggerstaff Chaffin. Mr. Chaffin retired from U.S. Steel, was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church in Garland and has served as a Deacon since 1969. He was a founding member of the Garland Emergency Core and was preceded in death by his parents and was one of fourteen siblings.
Mr. Chaffin is survived by wife, Lou Jeanne Faulk Chaffin of Rowlett; daughters, Paula Diane Horne and husband Jim of Greeley CO, daughter, Brenda Jeanne Jillard and husband Garry of Mesquite; grandchildren, Bradley Jillard, Mellissa Horne, Anthony Horne and Christe Shaul; great grandchildren, Makayla Horne, Kendra Horne, Noah Horne, Ella Shaul and Jackson Shaul.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 29th, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX 75494. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 29th, 2016 at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX 75494 at 2:00 pm with Bro. Ken Ashlock conducting. Interment will follow at Cypress Cemetery in Franklin County, TX.
