2016 Ole Miss Men’s Golf

In his first tournament for Men’s Golf at Ole Miss, Freshman Brody Blackmon finished tied for 19th Tuesday at The Invitational at The Ocean Course, Kiawah Island, South Carolina. Blackmon shot a team-low 5-under par 67 in the opening round. Blackmon is a 2016 Graduate of Sulphur Springs High School.
For the tourney, Blackmon, who competed as an individual, shot 67-73-76 for a 216 overall. Blackmon finished behind team members Sophomore Braden Thornberry who tied for fourth in the tourney with a 210 and Ben Walcot who tied for 8th with a 213. He finished ahead of three Ole Miss Team members. Ole Miss finished second in the tournament behind Middle Tennessee State and just ahead of Maryland and 14 other teams including West Virginia and Cincinnati.
