Funeral Services for Mae Dell Greenwood, age 72, of Mt. Pleasant will be held Friday, August 12, 2016 at 11 am at Mitchell Chapel Church of God in Christ, in Sulphur Springs with Pastor Tommy Smith officiating. Interment will follow at St. Luke’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 6-8 pm at the First Church of God in Christ in Mt. Pleasant.
Mae Dell passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016 in Sanger, TX. She was born March 22, 1944 in Sulphur Springs, the daughter of Wister Godbolt, Sr. and Marie (Bowser) Godbolt. She was a secretary at Mt. Pleasant ISD Police Department and a member of First Church of God in Christ.
She is survived by her sons, Joel Peoples of Mt. Pleasant, Victor Greenwood of Dangerfield, and Vincent Greenwood and wife Socorro of Kennedale; daughters, Luegenia Michaelle Jansen and husband Scott of Sanger and Venita Jackson of Boston, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Robert Nance III, Reginald Nance, Sr., Raven Nance, Breanna Hodges, Artis Taylor, Karasel Jansen and Dillon Jansen; great-grandchildren, Reginald Nance, Jr., Khy’ven Wallace, Nehemiah Hodges, Addisyn Matson; sisters, Clydia Boyd, Jackie Jackson and husband Bo, Dolly Kelly and Patricia Morgan; brothers, Wister Godbolt and wife Dorothy, Jr., Ricky Godbolt and wife Anita and David Godbolt; aunts, Dorothy Hudson and Elizabeth Godbolt; and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Florence W. Peoples; Parents; four sisters; three brothers and her son, Von Greenwood.
