Mrs. Dessie Foreman, age 88 of Winnsboro, passed away on Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016 in Winnsboro. She was born on January 3rd, 1928 in Okemah, OK, to the late Lewis Ervin Edmoundson and Goldie Ellen Gates Edmoundson. She was retired from Vick Well Service and was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church. She served as a charter member of the B&PW Club; past director of Winnsboro Chamber of Commerce; past director of the Autumn Trails Association; Winnsboro Woman Of The Year in 1976, and was a charter member of the Winnsboro Civic Club.
She was preceded in death by parents, brothers, and husband, Wayne Foreman.
She is Survived by, sister, Lleveda E. Glass.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 26th, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX 75494. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 26th, 2016 at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX 75494 at 2:00 pm. Rev. David Taylor and Rev. James Schafer will be conducting. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Okemah, OK, with Bill Coe, Will Harrison, Larry Mitchell, Rickey Swanner, Clem Measures, Lynn Shelton serving as pallbearers.
