Thursday afternoon, KSST News found a Tesla owner charging his auto at the Super Station provided by the Tesla Company in Sulphur Springs. Ron, a Dallas attorney, was excited to discover the Tesla Super Station in Sulphur Springs.
Needing to drive from Dallas to Texarkana for a business trip, he checke his route earlier in the week and thought that he would have to divert his route to I-20 through Lindale to catch the closest charging station. But, to his surprise, when he started his trip and entered the destination into the car’s GPS, the Sulphur Springs charging station popped up shortening his route to and from Texarkana.
“I am glad to have Sulphur Springs on my route now when I travel this direction from Dallas,” He said. “I even drove around the square before I pulled in for a charge, the square has really improved!” A very “green” car owner, Ron and his wife own the Tesla (all electric) as well as a hybrid vehicle. He believes that Sulphur Springs will become a very popular stop for Tesla owners. He noted that restaurants within walking distance will benefit from the location of the charging station.
