Graveside services for Mary Jo Rogers, age 80 of Brashear, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Brashear Cemetery with Rev. David Burns officiating. Grandsons will be serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.,Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mary Jo “Sweet Mary” Rogers passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016 at her residence. She was born on February 6, 1936 in Brashear the daughter of Milton and Amanda (Gillem) Hall. She married W. Ray Rogers, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a member of the Brashear Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughter, Carla Jo Petty and husband, Rickey of Cumby; sons, Jimmy Gafford and wife, Crystal of Brashear, Mark Gafford and wife, Elaine of Brashear and Justin Gafford of Brashear; grandchildren, Stacy Crumpton, Craig Petty, Jeremy Gafford, Jeffrey Gafford, Valorie Watkins, Stephen Gafford, Dalton Gafford, Kaitlyn Gafford, Chris Gafford, Amanda Gafford, Melissa Gafford, Jason Gafford, Tiffany Gafford, and multiple great-grandchildren and one brother, Franklin Hall of Sulphur Springs.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Charles Hall and two sons, Mike Gafford and Kevin Gafford.
