4H “PAWS” competing at NETLA Feb 25-27, 2016

Fourteen boys and girls in the SSES PAWS 4H Club will be showing animal projects at the Hopkins County Jr. Market Livestock Show this weekend. The remainder of the 68 club members have other 4H projects going currently. Shelby Gibson, third and fourth-grade teacher at SSES, is also the club leader. This year, the students have brought their 4H interests “into the classroom” by sponsoring a pet goat named Leroy and four hens which are now egg-producers. The students also have a Spring Salad Garden underway at school, and plan to share their bounty with the community at a salad luncheon planned for later this Spring. The club’s motto is “making the best better”.
