Graveside Service for Nelda Ray Fails, age 86, of Sulphur Springs, TX, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 31, 2015, at Rockdale Cemetery, with Rev. Fred Lewis officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 30, 2015, at West Oaks Funeral Home. Nelda passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.
Nelda was born April 20, 1929, in Hunt, TX, the daughter of Charles Leland and Gertrude M. Fry. Nelda married Billy A. Fails. He preceded her in death. Nelda was member of the First Baptist Church, a member of the Eastern Star, and a homemaker.
She is survived by her sons, Bill Duane Fails and Charles “Chuck” Fails both of Sulphur Springs, TX, brothers, H.M. Fry and Tim Fry, sister, Betty Stephens, grandchild, Cody Fails and great-grandchild, Case Fails.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org.
