Funeral service for Otis James (O.J. ) Wade, 86, of Emory, will be held 10:30 am, Friday, Aug. 7, 2015, at Emory United Methodist Church. Rev. David Diller will officiate. Interment will follow in Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday evening, 6:00-8:00 pm at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mr. Wade died at his residence on Monday morning, Aug. 3, 2015.He was born Nov. 25, 1928, in Emory, to Egbert and Jessie Northcutt Wade. He married Wilma Ada Wheatley, in Emory, on Aug. 15, 1952. To this union was born a daughter and a son. During his working career, Mr. Wade worked as a quality control inspector on incoming materials with Texas Instruments. He was a member of the Emory United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: Daughter: Suzette Neal (Billy) of Bedford; Son: James Richard Wade (Tracy) of Long Valley, N.J.; Sisters: Daphene Vaught (Tom) of Kaufman, Sue Mc Donald (Jerome) of Point
Grandchildren: Allison Elaine Wade; Kristen Wren Wade; Jackson Dean Mapes; Amber Graham. and Ashley Neal; Great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Olivia, Mason, Brycen, and Elijah; Numerous other loving family and friends.
Preceded in death by: parents, wife, Wilma Wade in Feb., 2015; 3 sisters: Elbertene Luckett; Maxene Jordan; and Murlene Arnold.
