Funeral services for Edgar Franks Sr., age 84, of Sulphur Springs, TX, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 8, 2015 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Kenneth Rhoades officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., prior to service on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at West Oaks Funeral Home.
Mr. Franks passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Royse City Health and Rehab in Royse City, TX. Mr. Franks was born on March 25, 1931, in West, TX, to Ben and Frances Sembera Franks. Edgar was a machinist at Rockwell International for many years and he was a member of Central Baptist Church. He is survived by sons, Edgar Franks Jr., and wife Rebecca of China, John Jordan and wife Kathy of Royse City, daughter, Debra Franks of Dallas, grandchildren, Daniel Franks, Tyler Jordan, Nicholas Jordan, Eric Jordan and Chelsey Jordan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ben Franks. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105-1942 or to the Miller Grove Cemetery Assoc., 5960 CR 1131, Cumby, TX. 75433.
