Dora Lynn Ponder, age 90, formerly of Sulphur Springs, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Sunflower Park in Kaufman, TX. There will be a visitation from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Thursday, August 27, 2015 at West Oaks Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ponder was born on May 11, 1925 in Hopkins County, the daughter of Tad and Cottie (Kelly) Luckey. She married Henry Ponder in January of 1949 in Rockwall, TX. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Ponder was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sisters, Arlene Hogland of Rowlett and Flora Mae Story of Seagoville, nieces and nephews, Don Story, Gene Story, Rodney Story, Alice Story Hackett, Gail Bradshaw and Terry Luckey.
In addition to her husband she is preceded in death by nephews, Larry Story, Reed Hyatt and one niece, Connie Stephens.
Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
