Funeral services for Jerry Wayne Tramel, age 60, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Bryant and Rev. Fred Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Paul Garrett, Wade Silvey, Jim Cimarolli, Jimmy Aiken, David Stribling, Gary Stribling, and Mike Blount serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at West Oaks Funeral Home.
Jerry passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. Jerry was born on August 3, 1954 in Sulphur Springs the son of Marcus Almarine Tramel and Golda Mae Simpson Tramel. He married Nancy Douglas on November 9, 1973 in Sulphur Springs and she survives. Jerry was president of Ken’s Heating and Air and was a member of First Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, Jerry is survived by two daughters, Amy Mata and husband Mario of Sulphur Springs, Brenda Kimmons and husband Keil of Frisco, brother, Marcus Tramel and wife Linda of Sulphur Springs, sister, Kathy Richey of Rowlett, grandchildren, Mario Alex Mata, Marianna Mata, Bradley Kimmons and Evelyn Kimmons.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson.
Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
