Herotown Evening Concludes Public Library Summer Reading Program

The Sulphur Springs Public Library Summer Reading Program ended in a big way Thursday evening with a community reading event called Herotown.  KSST’s Enola Gay read a children’s book about Orson Welles War of the Worlds broadcast. One of the incredible Karaoke moments was provided by three year old Aubrey Wetzel who sang Let It Go from Frozen. Paramedic and Shift Captain Jeff Sanderson was at the event with an embulance. Sulphur Springs Police Interdiction Officer Brian Shurtleff attended and brought along his police car and his K-9 officer dog. Driver Joseph Evans with the Sulphur Springs Fire Department let children get inside a fire truck. Police Officer Donnie Gaddis who we usually see at Douglas Fifth Grade Center is working for the Sulphur Springs Police Department this summer.
