Miller Grove News by Brandon Darrow

I hope everyone had a good Easter. I went to church Sunday morning and later that day made a trip to Bass Pro Shops in Garland.
Junior-Senior Prom was Friday night. I saw lots of pictures scattered across Facebook of the students and their dates on the way to The Lodge in Sulphur Springs. Everyone looked very nice from what I could tell.
Monday night was MGHS Drama Department’s Dessert Theatre. Wish I could have went to see the students perform but I had a meeting with the program committee for the County Line School Historical Maker’s dedication service. Which, by the way, will be held this Sunday, Apr. 12, at 2:00 pm. I hope for a good showing of people. After the program there will be refreshments served in County Line Church’s Family Life Center.
Another weekend reminder is that Miller Grove FFA chapter’s annual stew and auction is set for Friday, Apr. 10. This is a huge fundraiser for the FFA students. I know all donations and contributions are very much appreciated by the students as well as the chapter advisor and Ag teacher, Mr. McClure.
Happy Birthday this week to J.W. Ragan on Apr. 6, Kayla (Petty) Berkvens & Kylie Ridings on Apr. 7, Charles Regan & Cole Burnett on Apr. 8, and Alan Rivers & Elaine (Weaver) Ragan on Apr. 11.
As you travel the highways and byways don’t forget that all roads lead back home and back to Miller Grove. Please send me any newsworthy information. My email address is [email protected].
