The regular quarterly meeting of the Tira City Council will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3rd at the Tira Community Center. The public is always welcome and encouraged to attend.

Lee and Kim Beck enjoyed “Muddy Gras” on Friday, February 13th, at Muddy Jakes in Sulphur Springs, along with their son, Jackson Dailey, and his friend Courtney. “Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler!” [Let the good times roll!], says Kim.
Jackson Dailey and Dustin Lawson, both representing Texas A&M-Commerce Student Government, made a quick trip to Austin recently and met with Senator Bob Hall and Governor Greg Abbott. e

Robert and Yvonne Weir kpt their grandchildren, Elise and Eli Campbell on Saturday. Yvonne shared that everyone enjoyed games and bowling at Shenaniganz in Rockwall on Saturday evening.

Landon, Laiken, Rylan, and Brailon Joslin went to Beaumont and picked up Rylan and Brailon’s sister, Dixie, last Thursday, and then they all spent a couple of nights at Piney Shores Resort on Lake Conroe. On Friday, they enjoyed visiting the Downtown Aquarium in Houston.

Chip Vaughn celebrated his birthday with family at home on Sunday. Our guests for lunch were Grace Vaughn, Jacob and Tiffany Peugh, and Morgan, Collin, and Jaidyn. Kenden was not feeling well and Tyler was with his other grandfather that day. Chip celebrated again on Wednesday evening with friends and family, Phil and Carla Kenley, Keith and Frances Klein, Shirley Charles, Grace Vaughn, and myself, at Don Lalo’s in Sulphur Springs.

Tira was coated with a beautiful layer of snow on Wednesday, following the sleet which fell on Monday. North Hopkins students were out of school on both days.
