Several classes are being offered to the community in March by the Continuing Education Department at the Paris Junior College-Sulphur Springs.

A Microsoft Excel Level 1: Essentials class will be offered from 8 to 11:30 a.m., Fridays, March 6-13. Learn the basics of creating a worksheet; working with formulas and functions; formatting a worksheet; working with charts, and analyzing data using formulas.
The Initial Basic Life Support class on lifesaving skills for respiratory and cardiac emergencies will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, March 13. The American Heart Association certifies the class.
A course for Child Development Associate certification will meet Tuesdays from 6 to 9 p.m., March 24-Aug. 4. This course is being offered half online and half face-to-face training. After successful completion of this course, the individual must complete a direct assessment package and request a verification site visit. The CDA credential will be awarded upon completion of a successful site evaluation and exam.
A Medication Aide Update course will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, March 27. The course fulfills Texas Department of Health specifications on annual renewal requirement. Med Aides should take this course one month before their certification card expires.
