Funeral Services for Margret Anzaldua, age 74 of Sulphur Springs will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 21, 2015 at New Beginnings Fellowship Church with Paul Pogue and Fakri Abdelmalak officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Bradley Conner, Shane Douglas, Mike Sellers, Brian Mausser, Carlos Anzaldua, Ivan Hinkeldey serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are TGIF Recovery Group and Kathy Wade. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Margret passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at her residence. She was born January 10, 1941 the daughter of William Grafford and Dessie (Barnard) Carroll. She married Manuel Anzaldua on August 3, 1983 in Tyler. She was a hair stylist, painter, artist and owner of Margret’s Art Texas Gallery & Studio. She attended New Beginnings Fellowship Baptist Church and was a member of the Bright Star League of Cultural Arts.
Along with her husband, she is survived by daughter, Marcia Hinkeldey and husband, Ivan of Sulphur Springs; son, Carlos Anzaldua and wife, Mary Jane of Burney; grandchildren, Owen Bickford, Jr., Phillip Bickford, Cassandra Anzaldua and Carissa Anzaldua; daughter-in-law, Anita Stewart and sisters-in-law, Teresa DeWitt, Marie Benitas, and Peppy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Ralph Carroll and J.D. Carroll and son, Russell Stewart.
