The Lady Cats’ softball team opened the season with two wins at frigid Lady Cat Park in their own Sulphur Springs Tournament Thursday. Molly Johnston hit a walk-off three run home run in the bottom of the sixth to defeat Royse City 9-7. Sarah Womack got the win in relief of Summer Wyatt. In their second game, the Lady Cats outscored Wills Point, 16-3 in a three inning game. The Lady Cats are scheduled to play Athens at 4 p.m. Friday.
