Peggy Jean Robinson Hooten

Funeral service for Peggy Jean Robinson Hooten, age79, of Point, will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, 11:00 am, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Richard Kellum will officiate. Burial will follow in Lone Star Cemetery, in Point. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Peggy passed away Wednesday morning, Dec. 31, 2014, at Legend Healthcare and Rehabilitation, in Greenville. She was born Oct. 8, 1935, to Raymond Clifford and Ida Mae Cooper Robinson, in Point. She graduated Salutatorian, 1954, from Point High School.
Peggy married Charles Leighton Hooten, in El Paso, on May 31, 1954. She also worked for and retired from the Garland Power and Light Co. Peggy was a member of the Church of Christ in Point.

Her survivors include: Husband, Leighton Hooten of Point; 1 son: Clay Hooten (Wendy) of Greenville, 1 daughter: Starla Childress (Robert) of Forney, 1 sister: Betty Moseley (Walter Floyd) of Point, Grandchildren: Beau Hooten and Laci Samuel, Great-grandchildren: Olivia and Abigail Hooten, Numerous other loving family and friends.
