Hopkins County Genealogical Society

Our regular meeting will be held at 7.00 p.m. January 15th at the genealogical library,  212 Main St.   The monthly program will be given by local historian and 1st Vice President of the society, John A. Sellers.   The program description is as follows:

“Researching Newspapers in Cyberspace and Beyond!”

The accessibility and research techniques of newspapers have greatly changed since the internet.  Paid and free newspaper sites will be discussed.  Research techniques and tricks will be reviewed and analyzed.   Genealogical benefits and pitfalls on newspaper research will be discussed.
