Emogene Hays, 96, of Emory, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the Royse City Health & Rehab Center. Mrs. Hays was born in Lone Oak, on January 21, 1918, to Enoch E. and Leona Jones Nelson. She married William Hubert Hays on July 29, 1938.
Funeral service for Emogene Hays, age 96, of Emory, will be held Friday, January 9, 2015, 11:00 AM, at the Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel in Emory. Phil Nigh will officiate. Private burial will follow at Lone Star Cemetery in Point. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time, at the funeral home chapel. 3 Daughters: Barbara Rabe, and husband Benny, of Point, Avis Bledsoe, and husband John, of Rockwall, and Jeannie Wilson of Emory, 1 Son: Bud Hays, and wife Darlene, of Mineola, 15 Grandchildren, 33 Great-grandchildren, 1 Great-great-grandchildren, Numerous other loving family and friends.
Preceded in death by: Parents; Husband in 1958; 1 Granddaughter, Peyton Johnson in 2006; 1 Brother, R.V. Nelson; 1 Sister, Billie Ruth Nelson.
