TXDOT has named Brad Martin as its’ new director of operations for the Paris District, effective last Monday. After working for TXDOT in Bonham, Martin moved to the Hopkins County office in Sulphur Springs in 1994 as assistant area engineer. In 2009, he was named area engineer at the Paris area office. He’s been director of construction for the entire Paris district since 2012.
Paris – The Texas Department of Transportation has named Bradley Martin, P.E., as its new director of operations for the Paris District. Martin succeeds Michael Lee, who was recently named director of maintenance for TxDOT statewide.
“We are fortunate to have Brad Martin assume leadership of this important aspect of our work in the Paris District,” said Paul Montgomery, TxDOT district engineer based in Paris. “He began his new duties effective Dec. 1, 2014.”
Martin began his career with TxDOT as a summer employee in 1988. After graduation from Texas A&M University later that year he went to work for the agency in Bonham, Texas, in the Fannin County office. Martin moved to the Hopkins County office in Sulphur Springs, Texas, in 1994 where he worked as an assistant area engineer. In 2009 he was named area engineer for the Paris area office. He has served TxDOT as the director of construction for the entire Paris District since January of 2012.
Martin and his wife, Kristen, have twin daughters, Emily and Mallory, who are currently in college; and a younger daughter, Abbey, who attends Sulphur Springs High School.
