LaNell McGregor

Funeral services for LaNell McGregor, age 97, of Como who passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, December 5, 2014 at the First Methodist Church in Como TX.

Interment will follow at the Forest Academy Cemetery in Como.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the Tapp Funeral Home.

Mrs. McGregor was born on February 26, 1917 in Como TX, the daughter of Bruce and Bessie Bryant Matthews. She was a beautician and a member of the First Methodist Church of Como where she was a Sunday School teacher and member of the Quilting Club.

LaNell is survived by her children; Pamela Cathey of Como TX, Margaret Anderson and husband Gary of Como TX, Butch McGregor and wife Laura of Dallas, and Eddie McGregor and wife Dianna of Pine Forest TX, and her grandchildren; Adam Russell, Jessica Cathey, Steven Braden and wife Kim, Lee Braden and wife Margie, Angela Grimes and husband Adam, Jeremy Anderson and wife Tammy, Leslie Blanchard and husband Bill, Evan McGregor, Molly McGregor, and Julia McGregor, Jason McGregor and wife Marika, and Jon McGregor and wife Diana, great-grandchildren; Alex Braden, Taylor Lafargue, Preston Braden, Chessa Braden, Alyssa Braden, Anderson Grimes, Aiken Grimes, Tate Anderson, Taylor Anderson, Harley Blanchard, Nigel McGregor, Liam McGregor, Georgia McGregor, Chloe Fisher, Dalton Melvin, Dylan Melvin and three Great-Great-Grandchildren; Branlee LaNell Glen, Anna Lisa Braden, and Faye Braden as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce Sr. and Bessie Matthews and three brothers; Sam Matthews, Bruce Matthews Jr. and Hugh Matthews.

Memorials can be made to the First Methodist Church Building Fund of Como.
