Carlene Morgan Farr, age 77 went peacefully to be with the Lord Friday, December 5, 2014 at 6:45 p.m. at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. Graveside service will be held Sunday, December 7, 2014 at 2:00 p.m., Gafford Chapel Cemetery, Sulphur Springs, Texas. Duane Peters of Tom Bean, Texas officiating.
Carlene was born on October 23, 1937 to Thomas Carr and Dora Ella Mahaffey Patterson in Coahoma, Texas. She married Billie Frank Morgan in November, 1955, he proceeded her in death in 1978, she married William M. Farr in 1978, he proceeded her in death in 1986. She was a member of the First Baptist Church Howe, Texas before going into an Alzheimer unit in 2012.
She is survived by daughters, Valerie Miller and husband, Gary of Howe, Texas and Tawlene Lampp and husband, Eddie of Sulphur Springs, Texas; three grandchildren, Toby Miller and wife, Jill of Howe, Texas, Tanna Holland and husband, Josh and Morgan Lampp both of Sulphur Springs; one great-grandchild, Colter Holland; sisters, Mary Evelyn Smeall and husband, Ed of Mineral Wells, Texas and Barber Sue Bledsoe and husband, Benny of New Deal, Texas; brother-in-law, Otey Shadden of Abernathey, Texas; sister-in-law, Phyllis Patterson of Plainview, Texas and many nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, four brothers, T.C., Doyle, Bill Patterson, all of Lubbock and Henry Ray Patterson of Plainview and sister, Sally Kate Shadden of Abernathey, Texas.
