Funeral service for Billy Paul Wright, 80, of Brashear, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 26, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hoyt Scoggin officiating. Interment will follow at Barker Cemetery with Brian Evans, Michael Evans, Ricky Stracener, Randy Stracener, Mike Evans, Wes Brewer, Ronnie Higginbotham serving as pallbearers. There will be no formal visitation.
Mr. Wright passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2014 at his residence. He was born on March 9, 1934 in Hopkins County, the son of Haskell Prentis and Mamie Clyde Dowdy Wright. He worked as a carpenter for many years and was a member of Shirley Baptist Church.
He is survived by niece, Deanna Arnett of Alba, and nephew, Bobby Wayne Higginbotham of Greenville. He was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home. www.westoaksfuneralhome.com
