Thomas Ham

Memorial service for Thomas Eugene Ham, 83, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Gafford Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Goodwin officiating and Bro. Danny Meek assisting. There will be no formal visitation. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Fraternal Order of Border Agents.

Thomas passed away on November 6, 2014 at his residence, surrounded by family and friends. He was born on August 24, 1931 in Dunklin County, MO, the son of Thomas Eure and Maymie Waddell Ham. He married Jeanne Middleton on March 23, 1975 at South Lake Tahoe. She survives. He served 32 years in Federal Law Enforcement. He spent 10 years as Military Police in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, then served in the Border Patrol, Immigration, DEA, and U.S. Customs.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by son, Thomas E. Ham, Jr. and wife Laura of California, daughters, Zita Walters and husband Glen of South Dakota, Nicole Bickford and husband Jeff of Vermont, Kelly Johnson of Sulphur Springs, grandchildren, Megan, Tyler, Lucas, James Lee, Lisa, Ricky, Alex, and Fernado, great-grandchildren, Noah and Addie, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by brothers, Holland Wright Ham, Wilson Pal Ham, sisters, Lucille Fadler, Joyce Blackmon, and Betty Jo Baker.
