Weather Alert Sirens Accidentally Sounding

For the second time this month, a city of Sulphur Springs weather alert siren accidentally went off. The latest incident occurred at around 4 a.m. Monday. In both cases, Police Chief Jay Sanders says there was a lot of lightning in the area. He believes lightning caused a power surge that triggered the alarms. He says he is working with experts to prevent a reoccurrence.
