The Lady Cats’ volleyball team got off to a good start as they took set 1 against Mt. Pleasant on Senior Night Tuesday. However the Lady Tigers rallied to take the next three sets and the match, 3-1. Scores were 25-20, 16-25, 18-25 and 21-25. The Lady Cats end the season 1-13 in district play and 13-23 for the season. Seniors recognized were Desi Debase and Jessye Castro.
Lady Cats Volleyball Coach Allison Irvin has completed her first season in town. Her first team managed 13 wins but only 1 in district play. Desi Debase and Jessye Castro are seniors but ten players are expected to return next year: five juniors, two sophomores and three freshmen. Both the freshmen and JV team had winning records. Coach Irvin anticipates a bright future for Lady Cats Volleyball.
