The Wildcats Marching Band tuned up for UIL Competition this week with a solid showing at a Prairiland Contest Saturday. Band Director Charles McCauley said the band made the finals, finished third overall, was first among 5A bands and scored straight ones for band, color guard, percussion and drum majors. McCauley said the second performance in the finals Saturday was quite a bit better than the one several hours earlier. The UIL band performance will be on Thursday at 12:15 p.m. at Sam Parker Stadium in Mt. Pleasant. The performance will be the band’s fourth this year at their home away from home.
