Funeral service for Laura Swann Ritchie, 44, of Pickton, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 21, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Beverly Olsen officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Forest Cemetery with Jim Mills, Mark Mills, Luke Hardee, Bob Trevino, Zachary Zapata, and Marty Syblik serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Christopher Swann. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 19, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home.
Laura passed away on Monday, September 15, 2014 at her residence. She was born on August 13, 1970 in Mt. Pleasant, TX, the daughter of Barry Allen Swann and Linda Joyce Callaway Anglin. They survive. She married Michael Ritchie on December 24, 1993 in Winnsboro, TX. He survives. Laura worked as a dental hygienist for Dr. Max Motley DDS for several years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs. In addition to her husband and parents, Laura is also survived by daughters, Taylor Eastwood and Savannah Ritchie both of Pickton, sister, Patricia Swann of Winnsboro, step-father, Randy Anglin of Pickton, grandmother, Jane Chislett of Pickton, step-brother, Gregg Anglin of Pickton, 3 nieces, 1 nephew, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Laura was also blessed with a great number of close friends. She was preceded in death by grandfather, Richard Chislett, maternal grandfather, Jerry Z. Callaway, and paternal grandparents, Rufus A. and Carolyn M. Swann.
