Bernard Carl White

Bernard Carl White, age 91, of Emory, died Wednesday evening, Sept. 16, 2014, at Senior Suite Care and Rehab. Mr. White was born in Pittsburg, PA, on April 28, 1923, to Chauncey and Helen Sloan White. He served his country in the U.S. Navy,as a torpedo bomber pilot during WWII, in the Battle of Marianas Strait. Later with the Anti-Submarine Warfare serving as a pilot. At the end of his career, he was on the Admiral’s staff in Hawaii.

He married Jerelene Mayo Poore in Ft. Worth on July 24, 1963. Survivors include: Son: Shawn Carl White (Jonni) of Alba, Daughters: Cherie Etchegoyen of Fresno, CA and Nicole Reibsamen (Cary) of Mission Viejo, CA, Grandchildren: 23,Great-grandchildren:  numerous, Great-great-grandchildren: several, Numerous other loving family and friends. Preceded in death by: parents , wife, 2 brothers, Chanucey White, Jr. and Raymond L. White.
