Ona “Elizabeth” Rogers-Rose, 98, of Greenville, went to be with her Lord, early in the morning on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Legend Healthcare and Rehabilitation of Greenville. Funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Point on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 2:00 PM, with Bro. Jay Sikes officiating. Interment will follow in the East Mount Cemetery in Greenville. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Point, from 6-8 PM. Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home of Emory is in charge of arrangements.
Elizabeth was born on July 26, 1915 in Princeton to Amos Taylor and Georgia Ann Lawhorn-Rogers. She married Herschall C. Rose in Greenville. Elizabeth raised 5 children and worked with her husband in their family furniture store. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Point.
