Women Hurt in Accident

An 86-year old woman from Dike was killed in a two-vehicle accident in Hopkins County Saturday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Lorene Foley. The accident occurred on Highway 19 North at FM 1537 at 4:17 p.m. Saturday. The DPS accident report indicates the victim was a passenger in a vehicle heading south on Highway 19. The driver of the vehicle was turning left onto FM 1537 when the vehicle was in collision with a vehicle northbound on Highway 19. Two other people were transported by EMS to Hopkins County Memorial Hospital with injuries described as non-incapacitating.
