The old Knight’s Head Inn building in the renovated block of Main Street in downtown Sulphur Springs partially collapsed Tuesday afternoon. A crew was working on a façade renovation when problems developed after some windows and some wooden framing were removed. City Manager Marc Maxwell said some columns appeared to come off their base and dropped down a few inches. A structural engineer will evaluate the building Wednesday. Maxwell is working to keep the public out.
