School Board Meeting 06/09

Here is some information Sulphur Springs School Superintendent Mike Lamb made about the school and county Auditorium agreement approved by both entities Monday. Lamb said the school district would pay for the work by using its’ healthy fund balance. The original time frame would not work so plans are to start renovation next summer. The school district will welcome with open arms anyone wanting to use the facility. Previous users have their events protected. Lamb is convinced water problems in the Auditorium have been fixed,

The Sulphur Springs School Board accepted the resignations of Middle School Band Director Spencer Emmert and of Math Teacher and Wildcats Assistant Football and Basketball Coach Keith Cook Monday night. Among new hires were Sulphur Springs Police Chief Jim Bayuk as a Campus Policeman, Jeffrey Garza as a Middle School Assistant Band Director, John Luper of Cooper as Ag Mechanics and Welding Teacher at High School and Tony Martinez as the new Wildcats Head Tennis Coach.
