Huie, Charles

Funeral services for Charlie Huie will be held at 1:00 p.m.,
Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Rev.
Michael Moore and Rev. Charles Rawlinson officiating.  Interment will
follow at Sulphur Bluff Cemetery with Gerry L. Cleaver, W.L. Bowen,
Tim Vaughn, Randy Steele, Dwayne Sprague, and Robert Scott Isham
serving as pallbearers.  Visitation will be Wednesday evening, July
21, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Charlie Huie passed away Monday evening, July 19, 2010 at his
residence.  He was born March 5, 1943 the son of Walter Felix and
Effie Evelyn Stevens Huie in Sulphur Bluff.  He married Margaret Daws
on November 5, 2001 in Sulphur Springs.  She survives.

Mr. Huie was a retired Captain of the Sulphur Springs Fire Department.

Other survivors include:  daughter, Christina Parada, of Atlanta, GA;
son, G.W. Goin, of Albany;  brother, Tom Huie, of Campbell;  sister,
Gladine Wright, of Weaver;  nieces and nephews, Billy Wright, Jeff
Huie, John Huie, Laura Cleveland, and Nickie Robertson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Nickie Huie
