Graveside services for Almeda Crist, age 95, of Yantis, will be
conducted at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Yantis Cemetery
with Rev. Rodney Crist officiating.  Wesley Crist, Kelvin Crist,
Nathan Crist, Harold Crist Jr., Michael Crist, and Kevin McPherson
will serve as pallbearers.  No formal visitation will be held.


Almeda Crist passed away Monday afternoon, July 19, 2010 at Heritage
Nursing Home, in Quitman.  She was born in Henderson County on January
7, 1915, the daughter of Tom and Annie Bearden Frizzell.  She married
William “Bill” Crist.  He preceded her in death in 1972.  Ms. Crist
was a homemaker and and a member of County Line Baptist Church.

 

Survivors include:  sons, Wendell Crist, and wife, Myra, Harold Crist,
and wife, Ann, and Larry Crist, and wife, Janis, all of Yantis;
sister, Billie Ray Barnhart, of Palestine;  grandchildren, Wesley
Crist, Kelvin Crist, Rodney Crist, Nathan Crist, Harold Crist Jr.,
Michael Crist, Karlette Newman, and Kim Green;  fifteen
great-grandchildren; and eleven great great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by two sisters, Laura Mae Harris and Effie Winham.

Arrangements are under the direction of  Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
