Funeral service for "Jay" Jesse J. Jenkins, III, will be held Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at 9:30 a.m., at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Monday evening 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Kellly Krone will officiate. Burial will follow in Emory City Cemetery.
Jay died Saturday evening in Tyler at East Texas Medical Center. He was a rancher and cattleman. Jay was a Mason, had served on the Rains School Board, was a member of the National Royalty Owners Association, and a director on the board of First National Bank of Emory.
Pallbearers are: Jace Jenkins; Jacob Jenkins; Jess Jenkins; Tate Larison; Elizabeth Larison; Jenkins Franklin; Bo Pickrell; and Terry Green.
Survivors include: Elaine Jenkins of Emory Daughters: Linda Jenkins Pickrell (Bo) of Dallas and Mary Beth Jenkins Larison Green (Terry) of Emory Son: Jesse Jerome Jenkins, IV, "Jerry" (Debbie) of Sulphur Springs Sister: Alice Bronstad Kruse (Jerry) of San Antonio Brothers: Bill Bronstad of Bulverde and Bruce Bronstad of San Antonio Grandchildren: Elizabeth Larison; Tate Larison; Jesse Jerone Jenkins, V (Jace); Jacob Shaw Jenkins; and Jess Wesley Jenkins.
Preceded in death by: parents, 1 grandson, Jordan Hurley Jenkins; and 1 brother, Jim Bronstad
