The Sulphur Springs Independent School District has issued open invitations to everyone to join them in the formal groundbreaking of the new Sulphur Springs Middle School on Thursday, July 22 at 9:00 am at 825 W. Posey Lane. That is the address assigned by the city for street address purposes. The new bypass is an extension of the short street of Posey Lane north across the highway from Wal-Mart.

Bolton said that when the new middle school is completed, the present middle school will be modified to become a community-wide school for third and fourth graders. Sheltered corridors will interconnect the main buildings.
