I-30 In County Soon To Have 75 MPH Limit

You will soon be able to drive 75-miles per hour along I-30 in Hopkins County as soon as new speed limit signs are put up by TXDOT. New speed limits for 139-miles of I-30 from Hunt to Bowie counties were approved Thursday by the Texas Transportation Commission.

Overall some 1,500 miles of Texas interstate were approved for the new speed limit. After legislative approval, TXDOT has been reviewing existing 70-miles per hour speed limits to determine where a 75-miles per hour limit might be safely posted.
